NEW MACHINE GUARDING SYSTEM FROM FROMMELT SAFETY PRODUCTS IMPROVES PRODUCTIVITY AND SAFETY
MILWAUKEE, WI – Frommelt® Safety Products announces the introduction of the complete machine guarding safety system, which is designed to protect personnel from weld flash and flying debris, while improving plant productivity. Ideal for robotic welding cells, laser enclosures or general protection from manufacturing processes, this system can help improve plant safety and efficiency with its barrier protection.
The machine guarding system is comprised of an automated barrier such as Frommelt Safety’s Guardian™ Barrier Curtain, and the new Qwik-Guard™ fencing. Unlike conventional light curtains, mechanical gates or pressure sensitive mats, the Guardian features a solid, heavy-duty curtain with barrier bars to help protect personnel from flying hazards and prevent accidental entry into the production area. Plus, the Guardian is standard with safety interlocks, which detect the upward movement of the curtain, and stop the robotic operation to help improve the safety of a facility.
In addition to the Guardian Barrier Curtain, the machine guarding system can include any of Frommelt Safety’s automated solutions, including the Verti-Guard™ solid panel barrier, the Slide-Air™ side-opening curtain or the Flash-Fold™ bottom-up barrier curtain.
The new Qwik-Guard fixed fencing system completes the enclosure of the robotic work cell. The fencing can be easily installed on-site, and is relocatable for added flexibility. Plus, Saf-T-Vu fabric may be added to the Qwik-Guard to help protect employees from weld flash.
